Graduate AI Engineer (AIOps, Generative AI & Autonomous Systems)

Engineer the Nervous System of the Enterprise.

At DXC Technology, we run the mission-critical systems that power the global economy. Now, we're infusing them with intelligence.

We are looking for a select group of graduates not just to join our team, but to become pioneers in our core strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to build your expertise in one of the most advanced and impactful domains of AI today. We have an opportunity for you to join a DXC team based in Melbourne and Sydney who are actively engineering the future of enterprise autonomy.

Your Mission:

As a Graduate AI Engineer, you will be exposed to our leading experts around the globe and contribute directly to our product. These are our current focus areas:

  • AIOps & AI Governance: Build the robust operational backbone for our AI systems. Engineer the platforms and CI/CD pipelines for AI deployment, automated model monitoring, performance tracking, and governance. This is a critical component that ensures AI is scalable, reliable, secure, and deployed responsibly across the enterprise.
  • Model-Context Protocol (Tool-use): Work with the fundamental framework that allows Large Language Models to interact with reliably and safely, control, and use external systems and APIs as tools—turning generative models into powerful, autonomous agents.
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Design, build, and optimise RAG pipelines that connect Large Language Models to vast, proprietary enterprise knowledge bases. Your challenge is to solve problems of context, latency, and factual grounding to deliver AI that is not only intelligent but verifiably accurate.
  • Collaborative AI (Agent-to-Agent): Engineer complex systems where multiple specialised AI agents collaborate to automate end-to-end processes. You will work on the logic, communication protocols, and orchestration that allow these agents to reason, negotiate, and act autonomously to solve problems that are impossible for a single model to tackle.

This Is The Role For You If:

  • You are fascinated by the architectural challenges of applying foundation models to highly-structured, mission-critical environments.
  • You have a deep, technical curiosity about how to make systems not just smart, but resilient, reliable, and autonomous.
  • You can demonstrate a strong foundation in Python, key GenAI frameworks, and the theoretical principles of modern AI (e.g., attention mechanisms, vector databases, reinforcement learning concepts).
  • You’re the kind of person who has already been experimenting with technologies like LangChain, Langfuse, or building your own small-scale RAG system.

You’re eligible for our Graduate Program if you are:

  • An Australian citizen
  • Have completed all course requirements for your degree no earlier than November 2023, and must be expecting to complete all course requirements for your degree no later than February 2026

Call to Action: If you are ready to transition from academia to application and build solutions worthy of your passion, we want to see your code.
