Our program begins in February each year, initially based in Hobart, Tasmania. You’ll rotate into different teams and functions, where you can build on your capabilities and create a career that’s right for you. 

This is a permanent, ongoing role where we will work with you to place you within the business in time for the conclusion of the program.

What you’ll do:

You will have the opportunity to rotate across various, relevant areas of our business. This may include being onsite for a major asset upgrade, being involved in the pre-commissioning and commissioning stages of a project, involved in detailed design with our consulting business Entura, or working on our strategic asset plan.

  • Rotate through various teams across Hydro Tasmania and Entura (our consulting business!)
  • Depending on your role, you’ll work at sites across Tasmania, including on site at our hydropower stations, dams and lakes.
  • Be part of big renewable infrastructure projects like Battery of the Nation
  • Take part in professional development and networking with your fellow graduates and senior colleagues.

What you’ll bring:

  • A recent (graduated within the last 2 years) or upcoming degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Renewable)
  • Passion, enthusiasm and a commitment to driving positive change
  • Willingness to learn and build effective communication and relationships inside the business
