A new career opportunity is now available for a full time Cadet who is enthusiastic about securing an audit role in retail banking.  Working with our Internal Audit team, the successful applicant will be results focussed, have a high customer service ethic and a collaborative team approach that assists in the performance of business, financial, compliance and IT audits.

As an Internal Audit Cadet, you will work closely with experienced members of our Internal Audit team whilst gaining practical experience and insight into the entire range of IMB's operations. 

Key tasks of the role will include but not limited to:

  • Completing assigned business and branch audits (incorporating performance of fieldwork and documentation of audit testing results)
  • Communication with key stakeholders in relation to audit results
  • Assisting in the completion of draft audit reports.

To be eligible to apply for a Cadetship with us, we need you to meet the following criteria:

  • Be able to commit to and manage a full time work agenda in addition to completing your university studies (approx. 2 subjects per semester)
  • Be ideally commencing your 2nd year or 3rd year of a Bachelor of Business qualification (either part time or full time)
  • Be self-motivated, eager to learn and try new things and apply yourself on the job
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment working to deadlines and tight turnaround times
  • Have effective communication skills, with a strong customer service ethic
  • Attach a copy of your most recent academic transcript to support your application
  • Drivers licence (preferred, not essential).
