Your opportunity to join our Procurement team at North Ryde!

We are looking for two bright and ambitious graduates to join our Procurement team and support our Category Managers in the sustained delivery of benefits across selected categories. You will assist the team with the development and execution of category strategies, including end to end category management, contract management, supply & demand analytics, improvement of processes and controls, supplier relationships and supply chain risks.

We are not looking for previous procurement experience – these roles will suit tertiary qualified candidates with 1-2 years’ work experience, looking to establish themselves in a large business providing many challenges and opportunities to grow their careers across a variety of fields.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Support the procurement team in the analytics and execution of annual operating plan
  • Provide support for selected categories including the execution of RFI, RFP and RFQ processes Align stakeholder needs and supply capability through analytics, procurement processes and research with existing and new supplier relationships across multiple categories and functions 
  • Monitor market trends, supplier spend and opportunities to develop and implement category strategies for continuous improvement to the business 
  • Manage administration of pipeline for cost improvement activities that continue to deliver year on year benefits
  • Apply sound project administration skills to manage timelines, priorities, milestones, issues and risks 
  • Assist category managers with contract creation, administration and ongoing management 
  • Maintenance of various procurement and pricing systems ensuring accuracy and compliance 
  • Day to day management of suppliers in conjunction with the onsite teams 
  • Ensuring that the categories procurement governance requirements are met and help with resolving any outstanding issues 
  • Participation in NPD process in conjunction with the wider business

What you need to succeed:

  • Be a bright, driven and engaging graduate, with 1-2 years’ experience, looking to build your career and contribute to a fun, high performing and supportive team
  • Exposure to contract or category management an advantage
  • Strong administration and project management skills, with the ability to keep projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Be a self-starter with an innate curious and entrepreneurial nature 
  • Excellent analytical capability with the ability to administer efficient Procurement technologies 
  • Able to thrive in a change management environment, with the ability to bring people on the change journey 
  • Previous experience in procurement is not essential but you will be recently qualified with a commerce, engineering, or finance degree
