About Customer and Network Services

Customer and Network Services (CNS) works in close partnership with Australia’s phone and internet providers to deliver fast, reliable, and high-quality experiences to new and existing customers. We’re responsible for activating, operating, and assuring the performance of nbn’s network and services. Our mission is to keep customers connected while continuously improving how we deliver and support our network.

Internship opportunities are available in our Melbourne (Docklands) and Sydney (North Sydney) offices.

What we look for in a Customer and Network Services intern

We’re looking for enthusiastic and innovative students who are passionate about collaboration and innovation. You excel in teamwork and have developed automation skills to enhance and optimise processes. You will be able to demonstrate analytical abilities, along with a keen interest in network operations and incident management. 

We welcome students from a wide range of disciplines, including Business Management, Network Operations, Network Engineering, Automation, Data Analytics, Data Science, Incident Management, and AI and Machine Learning – but we are not restricted! If you think this career path is for you, we want to hear from you.

To be eligible for the program, you must meet the below eligibility criteria:

  • You are a Citizen of Australia / New Zealand, or an Australian permanent resident; and 
  • You are in your second last year of university; and
  • You are available to commence full time work from 3 November 2025 through to 6 February 2026.
