About Systems Engineering and Operations
The SEO team at nbn design and deliver the technology solutions that power nbn’s ability to build, connect, fix, operate, and enhance services for our customers. Our systems are the backbone of Australia’s digital infrastructure—supporting phone and internet providers, industry partners, and internal teams every day.
We’re also committed to ensuring our systems are high-performing, secure, and always available—so that Australians stay connected when it matters most.
Internship positions are available in our Melbourne (Docklands) and Sydney (North Sydney) offices.
What we look for in an SEO intern
We’re looking for students who are strong communicators able to explain technical ideas clearly. You’ll be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. You are a self-motivated and curious learner, and a team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
You’ll be in your second-last year of study in one of the following areas:
Engineering (Computer Systems, Network, Software, Telecommunications), Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data Science or Analytics, or Mathematics.
To be eligible for the program, you must meet the below eligibility criteria:
- You are a Citizen of Australia / New Zealand, or an Australian permanent resident; and
- You are in your second last year of university; and
- You are available to commence full time work from 3 November 2025 through to 6 February 2026.
