About the Program 

Our two-year Graduate Program is developed to set you up for long term success through:

Eligibility 

To be considered, you must: 

• Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Have completed an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree (or higher) or TAFE Certificate level qualification in 2024, 2025 or expect to complete your final subject by December 2026, inclusive of any internships or work experience placements required for graduation.
• Be able to commence fulltime in February 2027.
• Available to work primarily from our Macquarie Park campus in Sydney. 

About the Finance Graduate Program 

Our Finance team at Optus manages and optimises the company’s financial operations, spanning Group Credit Risk, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Financial Operations and Procurement. The team ensures strong financial governance, supports commercial decision making and contributes to the financial health and resilience of the organisation. 

As a Finance Graduate, you’ll gain exposure across core financial functions and contribute to activities that support reporting accuracy, operational efficiency and strategic financial outcomes. 

What You May Work On 

• Working with finance business partners to streamline and improve financial processes.
• Producing balance sheets, cash flow statements and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with auditing, invoicing and reconciliation activities.
• Supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Assisting with project management across finance initiatives. 

Qualifications That May Be a Good Fit 

• Bachelor of Applied Finance
• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Auditing or Taxation)
• Certificates in Finance & Accounting
• Diploma of Finance & Accounting
