About the Program 

Our two-year Graduate Program is developed to set you up for long term success through: 

  • A permanent fulltime role from day one, giving you stability and room to grow.
  • Three 8-month rotations within your business unit to build breadth, confidence and capability.
  • Real ownership and impactful work, contributing to projects that shape customer and business outcomes.

Eligibility 

To be considered, you must: 

  • Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Have completed an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's degree (or higher) or TAFE Certificate level qualification in 2024, 2025 or expect to complete your final subject by December 2026, inclusive of any internships or work experience placements required for graduation.
  • Be able to commence fulltime in February 2027.
  • Available to work primarily from our Macquarie Park campus in Sydney. 

 

About the Marketing & Corporate Affairs Graduate Program 

The Marketing & Corporate Affairs team at Optus shapes the company’s brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement, while delivering marketing strategy across both consumer and business segments. The team plays a key role in building trust, communicating efficiently and supporting Optus’ position in the market. 

As a Corporate Affairs & Marketing Graduate, you’ll gain exposure across communications, brand, marketing operations and government relations, contributing to initiatives that influence how customers, Optus people and business partners experience Optus. 

 

Where You May Gain Experience 

  • Corporate Affairs: Employee communications and external communications.
  • Marketing: Brand, campaign delivery and marketing operations.
  • Government Relations: Stakeholder engagement and regulatory insights. 

 

What You May Work On 

  • Supporting communication activities, including drafting and reviewing updates.
  • Evaluating analytics and reporting to understand performance and customer behaviour.
  • Assisting teams with daily tasks and cross functional initiatives.
  • Taking ownership of a dedicated project from planning to execution.
  • Developing project plans, communication plans and regulatory/marketing materials.
  • Presenting updates or collating project components with business wide partners. 

 

Qualifications That May Be a Good Fit 

  • Bachelor of Communications
  • Bachelor of Business (Marketing)
  • Bachelor of Art (Politics)  
  • Bachelor of Laws (Regulatory Studies)
