Research Assistant for mid-year intake

ORIMA Research Pty Ltd is an evidenced based, social research consultancy that conducts research for Australian and State / Territory Government clients on a range of topics including healthcare and wellbeing, employee engagement, education, environmental assets, policy, disability, sports programs, communications, First Nations and more.

We are Australia’s largest provider of research, advisory and data services to the public sector and are 100% Australian owned and are growing. We have offices in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane and employ around 75 permanent staff as well as a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Field Force of over 35 casual interviewers.

Our graduate program is underpinned by a Competency Framework and a clear progression pathway. The program provides the opportunity and support to learn and develop both quantitative and qualitative research skills, as well as the technical and non-technical skills required for a successful career in the research consulting industry.

 Graduates will be exposed to a broad range of research and consulting skills (depending on the Division you are placed in) including:

  • understanding and designing quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • analysing and interpreting quantitative (using SPSS and Excel and other tools) and qualitative data
  • producing charts and descriptive statistics
  • organising and conducting research fieldwork, including online surveys, interviews and focus groups
  • project management and co-ordination
  • problem solving, analysis and report writing.

We have 5-6 graduate positions available for our mid-year 2022 intake in Melbourne and Canberra. Roles are available in:

  • Quantitative research teams (Melbourne or Canberra)
  • Qualitative research teams (Melbourne)
  • Our dedicated Data Science team (Canberra or Melbourne)
