ABOUT THE ROLE

Working with the Industrial division, you'll find yourself learning about trucks, machinery, equipment and other weird and wonderful assets such as boats, trains, planes and anything else that comes our way to sell on behalf of our clients!

We're looking for enthusiastic and team-centric individuals who are keen to develop into asset valuations professionals with Pickles and are willing to learn about the business inside and out to get there. 

This is a two-year program where you will be mentored by a number of industry leading professionals and will work closely with the branch team to learn the operational side of the business, as well as working in our Valuations team to inspect and value assets, write reports and liaise with clients. Travel and weekend work will be required occasionally.

The opportunities are endless if you're willing to roll your sleeves up, get your hands dirty and develop your valuations skills. Once you've learned all about the business and how we operate, you'll have lots of transferrable skills which will apply to many roles within Pickles.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • You have recently graduated from university or a partway through your degree in the field of Business/Commerce/Economics or Engineering/Science, or have a trade qualification, for example as a mechanic or diesel mechanic
  • Applicants with past experience in operations or sales roles in equipment heavy industries such as transport, civil, agriculture, or manufacturing will also be considered
  • A keen desire to learn all facets of the Industrial division and develop into a competent asset Valuer with a strong career path
  • Ability to conduct thorough research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal with people at all levels within an organisation
  • You are bold with strong integrity and initiative, you love learning and solving problems, and are customer focused
  • You're naturally resilient, innovative, a strong team player with exceptional communication skills and are highly motivated
  • You have good attention to detail and competent computer skills
  • You are willing to relocate for secondments in other parts of Australia
