Graduate Program

At RB, we’re seeking well rounded, analytically minded individuals with interests and achievements that extend beyond the academic field. Our programs are designed to develop individuals to be RB leaders of the future. We expect you to have the enthusiasm and determination to succeed with RB’s dynamic environment.

We currently run 3 different Graduate programs in the area of supply, finance and sales and marketing.

Our Commercial Graduate Program is an approximately three-year rotational program across the Sales and Marketing functions, with rotations through Field Sales, Sales Analysis and Marketing. As a result, RB Graduates grow and develop into true business leaders in a very commercial environment before even completing their program. After the completion of the graduate program, our graduates progress into key roles in Account Management or Brand Management.

Our Supply Graduate Program is an approximately two-year rotational program covering Customer Service, Logistics, Supply & Demand Planning and New Product Implementation. The Supply Graduate Program is designed to develop individuals to be RB leaders of the future.

Our Finance Graduate Program is an approximately two-year rotational program covering commercial finance (sales and marketing), supply finance and accounting. Most training is given on the job, supplemented with an on-boarding program and ongoing development.

At RB you won’t feel like you’re trudging a well-worn career path. Your future is in your own hands, we’ll just provide you with the support you need to get there. In our Graduate Development Program you’ll develop as a business manager in a truly commercial environment.

The Graduate Experience

Their Experiences

Rachel cain

Rachel Cain
Commercial Graduate
RB Australia

I’ve always been interested in the intersection of successful commercial businesses and marketing/advertising creativity, with the FMCG industry being a clear example of how this can work well. I came to work at RB through doing a bit of research in the industry and applying online to their Summer Internship Program to see if this was the right option for me- turns out it was exactly what I wanted. From the Internship I transitioned into the Graduate Program.

RB offer their Grads a range of experience across at least two functions of the business. As an Assistant Brand Manager on some leading brands such as Strepsils and Vanish Napisan, I launched new products into the market, worked with agencies to develop creative, shot advertisements and also learnt how to effectively project manage and create a profitable brand through commercial decision making. In my current commercial sales role, I have direct contact with one of our largest customers (Coles) to ensure we are making the best deals and working with them to maximise sales that benefits both parties through managing promotions and instore activities. I also support the other Coles Account managers by providing them with insights into the drivers behind their results and present revenue and in market trackers back to the leadership teams so they can make effective decisions.

What I love most about RB? Fast-paced and action-packed days. You will never find yourself bored in any of your Grad rotations. As soon as you do start to feel that – expect to rotate onto a new role!

What has been the most challenging? University to work transition. You will essentially be owning a business with real life implications, not just getting a mark

What have you enjoyed the most? My Kitchen Rules TV shoots, New Product launches, actually getting to see your hard work come to life in store!

What would you say to anyone joining RB? Congrats on getting the role! You deserve it! There’s a reason why you were hired, so own it and you will see the results

The world is changing at an unprecedented rate. We all share our sustainability challenges: they're global, they're interconnected and they’re intensifying. We understand that growth and responsibility go hand-in-hand. We're doing something about it.

We've set real goals to achieve by 2020, goals that make a difference in real lives. We have a purpose-led strategy that charts a course for sustainable and responsible growth; it's called betterbuiness.

Better Society

As the global leader of health, hygiene and home, we have a responsibility to change things for the better. We’re committed to improving the lives of those who work with us in any capacity and to making a difference in communities around the globe.

Better environment

The global challenges the world faces today are complex and universal. We're addressing these challenges by focusing the efforts of our people and products where we can make a difference: energy demand, raw material and deforestation, water scarcity, waste creation, hygiene and the difference we can make to our consumers and communities around the world.

We recognise the impact we make, and we are constantly changing and improving the way we manufacture and design our products to build a better future.

Visit our website at www.rb.com/responsibility/ to find out more about our commitment to doing betterbuiness.
