As a Global Employer Services (GES) Tax Graduate at RSM, you will have the opportunity to focus on employment and expatriate tax related matters for our local and international clients. Having this broad client base will mean you will be exposed to a wide variety of clients and tax experience, including international matters. The type of work will vary from researching, assisting with tax consulting and tax compliance, and using data analytics tools to help create efficiencies in our processes as well as providing our clients with timely and meaningful insights. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop whilst assisting senior members of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing tax technology tools and data analytics solutions to provide insights and solve client challenges
- Conducting employer wage compliance reviews
- Providing advice on employment tax and expatriate tax, including optimisation strategies
- Supporting administrative tasks such as billing, client setup and engagement letter preparation
- Creating and developing reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Interpreting legal texts, drafting written content and working with numerical data
- Applying both technical legal understanding and analytical skills to real‑world client scenarios
About You:
You’re someone who is curious, motivated and eager to build a career in global employment tax. You bring initiative, professionalism and a strong sense of integrity to everything you do. You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Are studying or have completed a degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Tax, Business Law/Law or Data Analytics
- Have an interest in technology solutions and solving bespoke client problems
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
- Are a proactive self‑starter who collaborates well and contributes ideas
- Bring a can‑do attitude, resilience and a passion for continuous learning
- Build strong relationships and engage effectively with others

- Ask thoughtful, relevant questions to deepen understanding and support decision‑making
- Are comfortable working with people across different levels and departments
- Are curious about clients’ industries and motivated to understand their business needs

- Hold Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Permanent Residency
