Asset Management Intern

This internship placement offers great exposure to some of the most significant solar PV assets built by the host company and gain first-hand experience of what is involved in managing the operational activities of utility-scale solar generators.

You will spend time understanding the technical, contractual, commercial and financial aspects of the assets that facilitate the generation of clean and sustainable energy so that you can:
• Monitor daily generation of the assets and record all anomalies identified
• Automate collection of operational data from multiple sources
• Maintain existing operational records and reporting tools, assisting in continually developing these
• Identify and understand why technical KPIs of the assets vary compared to budget
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly asset management reports on the technical performance of the assets
• Assist in reviewing weekly and monthly O&M reports
• Manage systems and tools for ongoing asset management activities
• Provide general assistance with other asset management activities

• Passionate about renewable energy and the low carbon world
• Enthusiastic about using data to provide meaningful insights
• An excellent communicator able to grasp and convey complex topics in clear and concise manner.
• Have strong analytical skills and experience with Excel, PowerBI or other analytics focused software
• A problem solver who enjoys fixing and automating.
• Enjoy working on your own and as part of a team.
• A self-starter who doesn’t need a long list of to-dos.
• Likes playing with data to get insights and to back up your choices and decisions.
• Programming experience is highly desirable (Matlab, VBA, Python, SQL)
