Electrical Project Engineer

Our client is a Large Multinational Company dealing in supply, commissioning, servicing of fans, compressors, turbines, blowers, heat exchanger, and silencer, site management, project management including engineering for Air and Gas Handling. 

We are recruiting 2 Electrical Project Engineers with following responsibilities but not limited to: -

• Design and/or maintenance experience with electrical installations in mining.
• Solid understanding of MV and LV protection.  
• Design and/or maintenance experience with MV and LV switchgear and VVVF drives.
• Knowledge of earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Ability to use AutoCAD Electrical for drawing update or design work.
• Understanding of Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems.
• Solid experience in designing and drafting wiring diagrams and layout of PLC based control panels.
• Ability to define scope of electrical work/product.
• Ability to write functional specifications.
• Demonstrated experience in project management from design through to commissioning.

Desirable skills

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards including AS standards related to surface mines and Health Regulation
• Calculation and selection of outdoor lighting equipment
• Ability to use ePlan for drawing update or design work.
• Turnkey project experience
• Experience with prefabricated switchrooms and associated equipment (Air conditioning, fire detection and fire suppression systems, lighting etc.)
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards related to underground mines, NSW Coal Mines Health and SafetyCMHS) Act, CMHS Regulations and Queensland Coal Mining Safety
• Electrical design in Hazardous area, especially on Coal mines.
• CPEng &RPEQ
• Experience working with ventilation system equipment.
