Junior Insolvency Accountant

Our client is a national level mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm offering services in the areas of Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Insolvency. We are looking to recruit a graduate in for a position of Junior Insolvency Accountant.

You will be closely working with Manager in the areas of insolvency related matters dealing with people involved in insolvency proceedings. 

Ideally you should have completed university and are looking to commence your CA/CPA studies. Prior CA firm experience will be good but not necessary. Job duties are as following but not limited to: -

• Display a high level of professional courtesy and respect when interacting with fellow team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• You are expected to prepare routine correspondence tailored to various stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.
• Develop a basic understanding of the business in question and the commercial environment in which it operates. 
• Support investigations into the finances of insolvent entities by analysing financial statements, accounting records, and business documentation. 
• You are required to support your colleagues with the administration of formal insolvency matters, including the preparation of statutory reports and lodgements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Utilize specialized insolvency accounting software to prepare transaction vouchers and journal entries accurately. 

Requirements: 

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Full work rights with at least 2 years of valid visa. 
• Proficient in Work, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, XERO/MYOB
