We are recruiting an experienced Network Administrator for Electrical, Communication and Maintenance contractor specialising electrical, data and communications, high voltage, audio-visual, engineering. The job responsibilities are listed as below: -

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network problems and IT systems.
  • Provide customer service as well as first and second level technical support to clients via phone calls.
  • Trouble shoot network problems and direct site crew on investigation and rectification.
  • Provide technical knowledge to clients and support crew in finding solutions for network and IT systems.
  • Assist project teams in the deployment of network and IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Implement new network solutions and /or improving the efficiency of current networks.
  • Install, configure and support network equipment such as servers, routers, switches etc.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Regular monitor of Network and IT systems.
  • Provide paperwork and any relevant documentation in timely manner.
  • Complete regular reporting when required.
  • Communicate regularly and notify any client issues immediately to Management.
  • Assist with additional administration tasks as required.
  • Monitor and ensure all works completed are in compliance with Australian Standards and Host Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  • Update Network Management to match the site installation.
  • Participate in client and Host Employer quality audits and process.
  • Ensure safety processes and procedures are completed and meet Host Employer’s and Client’s requirements.
  • Comply with all Host Employer policies and procedures.
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades. Communicate relevant technical or client related issues to the applicable position/ department.
  • Report network stouts to key stakeholders.
  • Provide maintenance where required to ensure correct solutions are recommended.
  • Prepare ICN quotes for major projects in conjunction with ICN Project Manager.
  • Generate quotes for minor works. Regularly engage with the Vendors such HP/Aruba, Cisco etc.
  • Provide support to technologies project teams when required. Ensure all activities (administrative and non-administrative) are completed within an accurate and timely manner.
  • Employer’s safe operating procedures and quality processes.
  • Ensure high quality workmanship is evident in all works.
  • Conduct all activities by following safety standards and requirements to perform tasks.
  • Follow Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times and ensure others are following procedures.
  • Represent Host Employer to assist with safety compliance as well as safety activities on site.

Qualification/Experience Required

  • Degree in Information Technology
  • Completed White Card (essential)
  • Competent in Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless networks
  • Solid understanding of B2B customer service

Technical Knowledge

  • Microsoft Server 2019 including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services.
  • Wireless solutions such as Meraki and Aruba.
  • WIFI 5 and WIFI 6.
  • Network Management Platforms such as ManageEngine.
  • A basic understanding of Cisco and HP networking – Switching Including L2 and L3 configurations.
  • VOIP Telephone systems.
  • Checkpoint and Sophos- Firewall and Cybersecurity.
  • Copper and Fibre Cabling systems.
  • Accessing of active equipment remotely.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Microsoft Exchange.
  • Salary negotiable based on experience. It's a full time role for immediate start. Only candidates with valid work visa will be considered for the role.
