Our Ventia Graduate Program is designed to turn potential into performance. This tailored two-year program provides practical experience across a diverse range of sites and asset environments through four structured one on one rotations. You will gain exposure across Infrastructure Services, Telecommunications, Defence & Social Infrastructure, and Transport projects, gaining exposure to a range of industries.  

  

Over two years, you'll develop core skills in lifecycle planning, data analysis, risk management, and performance optimisation while contributing to meaningful business outcomes and building a strong foundation for a career in asset management. Supported by experienced professionals, senior mentors, and a dedicated graduate buddy, you'll be guided every step of the way as you gain real work experience and make a real impact across the communities and industries we serve.

Ventia has endless opportunities for graduates in the following disciplines:  

  • Bachelor of Engineering (any discipline) 
  • Bachelor of Asset / Infrastructure Management 
  • Bachelor of Commerce / Business (Asset, Finance or Operations focus)
     

To be eligible for the Ventia Graduate Program, you must meet the following criteria:   

  • Successfully completed relevant undergraduate degree in the last two years or be in your final semester of study.   
  • Hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Permanent residency, or Graduate Visa 485 (valid until the end of 2028). 
  • Willingness to travel and relocate for the duration of the rotation.   

 

Responsibilities 

  • Support asset management and lifecycle planning activities to optimise asset performance, reliability, and whole-of-life outcomes. 
  • Analyse asset and maintenance data to identify trends, support decision-making, and contribute to performance, risk, and cost optimisation initiatives. 
  • Assist with lifecycle activities including maintenance, renewal, refurbishment, and disposal planning across a range of infrastructure and facilities assets. 
  • Maintain asset data quality through data collection, validation, reporting, inspections, audits, and risk assessment activities. 
  • Collaborate with engineers, operational teams, and clients to deliver asset management projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and positive business outcomes. 

 

Skills & Requirements  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify practical solutions to improve asset performance and business outcomes. 
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and manage competing priorities. 
  • Adaptable, proactive, and accountable, with strong organisational skills and a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Understanding of asset management, infrastructure, facilities, engineering, maintenance, or lifecycle planning concepts gained through study, projects, internships, or practical experience; experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is highly regarded. 
  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to learning through leadership, extracurricular activities, certifications, volunteer work, self-directed learning, or personal projects.
