Our Ventia Graduate Program is designed to turn potential into performance, this tailored two-year program gives you practical experience across diverse, live projects. Through four structured one on one rotations including Engineering Design, on site project experience, and Sustainability or Project Management you will build both technical expertise and professional capability.

To be eligible for the Ventia Graduate Program, you must meet the following criteria:   

  • Successfully completed relevant undergraduate degree in the last two years or be in your final semester of study.   
  • Hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Permanent residency, or Graduate Visa 485 (valid until the end of 2028). 
  • Willingness to travel and relocate for the duration of the rotation.   

 

Responsibilities 

  • Support the design, optimisation, and performance of mechanical assets and equipment to improve safety, reliability, and operational outcomes. 
  • Assist with engineering calculations, technical reports, design documentation, CAD models, and fabrication drawings in accordance with relevant standards. 
  • Contribute to engineering analysis, equipment assessments, design reviews, and project delivery activities across a range of projects and operational environments. 
  • Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and workshop personnel to develop and implement practical engineering solutions. 
  • Develop technical and professional skills through structured rotations, hands-on project experience, sustainability initiatives, and continuous learning opportunities. 

 

Skills & Requirements  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply mechanical engineering principles to practical engineering and project challenges. 
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders and build strong working relationships. 
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes across multiple projects. 
  • Understanding of mechanical design, engineering analysis, or manufacturing principles gained through study, projects, internships, or work experience; experience with CAD and engineering software is highly regarded. 
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning through leadership, extracurricular activities, certifications, competitions, or personal projects. Minimum academic achievement: Credit average (GPA 5.0/7.0 or equivalent).
