Corporate Institutional Banking (CIB) which sits within Westpac’s Institutional Bank, focuses on understanding the needs of our clients to support them through their lifecycle, whether that be to provide financing and solutions for growth opportunities, to assist in navigating through times of change, or simply just to support their financial wellbeing.

What can you expect as a Corporate & Institutional Banking Summer Intern?

This is a 10-week program running from November until February. During the Internship, you will rotate through one of the following industry teams: 

  • Real Estate & Health
  • Energy, Infrastructure & Natural Resources
  • Consumer & Industrials
  • Financial Institutions & Government

You will also have the opportunity to work with our specialist product teams such as Syndications & Sustainable Finance, Project Finance, Corporate Loans, Structured Finance, Asset Finance, Acquisition Finance & Originations.

Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply for the CIB Summer Intern Program. At Westpac Group, we recognise that a finance/analytical background is preferred but not necessary to join our team. If you have the intellectual curiosity and drive to learn, we have the training infrastructure to foster and develop the skills you need.

You will need to be available to start with us in November 2026.
