2027 People Graduate Program
AI Job Summary
Your New Role
Build your career in People at Westpac. You’ll learn how we support teams, shape culture, and help people do their best work, while gaining real experience across different areas of the People Team.
We help Westpac teams build strong, inclusive workplaces where people feel supported to do great work and grow their careers.
We partner with leaders to solve real people challenges, like hiring, development, and engagement, so teams can perform at their best.
You’ll work across areas like advice, culture, reward, and employee experience, learning how the People teams shape business outcomes at scale.
What can you expect as a People Graduate?
This is a 12-month program with 3 x 4-month rotations.
As a Graduate within the People team, you’ll have the opportunity to rotate through different teams to build your experience and grow your network. A Graduate will complete three rotations across the People business that align with their interests and skill set, while giving them a truly diverse experience across the multitude of roles that are available in the People function.
In the past, our Grads’ exposure has ranged from supporting employees with People policy advice to helping launch an employee self-service portal; contributing to the research, strategy and initiatives behind our vision to developing websites, social media strategies and brand campaigns to attract new employees and build engagement with existing employees; and shadowing senior leaders, which provided the opportunity to participate in associated workshops, training and summits.
Participating in extra-curricular groups such as The Youth Network and community initiatives, including graduate committees, is also all part of the Grad experience.
