Cyber threats are constantly evolving—and we’re here to stay ahead, protecting our customers, systems and data. We design, build and strengthen the tools, controls and frameworks that keep Westpac secure in a digital-first world.
Gain hands-on experience across the cyber lifecycle, working on real challenges alongside industry experts.
What can you expect as a Technology Cyber Graduate?
This is a 12-month program, with 2 x rotations across key cyber security functions.
These may include Cyber Defence and Response, Critical Protective Controls, Cyber Strategy and Governance, Threat Intelligence, Cyber Transformation and more.
You’ll also join a strong cyber graduate community—giving you access to peer support, networking opportunities and shared learning as you grow your expertise.
Over 12 months, you’ll build deep experience in cyber security. After six months, you’ll rotate into a new team, broadening your exposure across different areas of cyber. You’ll be supported by experienced leaders, mentors and peers who are invested in your growth and development.

Eligibility
- You must be in your final year of study of a university degree, or
- You have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, but it must be no more than three years ago.
- You also need to be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident when you apply.
You will need to be available to start with us as a permanent employee in February 2027.
