Commercial - I chose to study engineering because I enjoy the process of analyzing and weighing different options, and finding new solutions in order to solve large scale problems. It's a common misconception that all there is to accounting is a typical, boring, 9-5 weekday desk job that within the near future would potentially cease to exist due to technology and fast-evolving systems. Not to me. As I am currently a penultimate year student, I have not yet undertaken a final year project. An idea that comes to mind however would be something pertaining to multistory building stability/dynamics. I have always been fascinated about high-rise construction and how multi-story buildings are able to remain upright and stable. The concept of using construction and demolition waste as recycled aggregate in concrete is another topic that I may pursue. This is because it directly coincides with my personal interests in sustainable construction and efficient use of construction material.
My Aboriginal and European heritage often causes personal and community conflict, understanding how the two cultures draw from their knowledge and perceptions has helped me to achieve balance in my life.
