In every single risk I take, every relationship I develop and every activity I enjoy, my goal is always to improve and strive to be the best version of myself. I’m passionate about the issue of climate change and I’m motivated to be part of the solution, with a focus on energy. The future leaders in this sector will need to be multidisciplinary and globally oriented, and I’m aiming to bring both these qualities to the table. I strive to continually extend my experience in the climate change and energy space, both within and outside of my engineering specialisation, and have participated in 3 international exchanges which gave me invaluable perspective. Following graduation, I hope to continue to learn through a Master’s programme in Energy Science, focusing on sustainable solutions.

During his 19 months abroad, Shaun worked for leading international law firms within the international arbitration practice area. He also studied Mandarin across mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Shaun is currently undertaking his law honours dissertation on business-related human rights arbitration. When not studying, you will likely find Shaun mountain climbing.

I always had big dreams and a hunger for opportunity. So, I made the decision to move from Adelaide to Sydney and chase after my aspirations. And I'm thrilled to say that I am currently in the midst of completing a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Marketing Communications and Information Technology. He was the first and only person in his family to attend university. Through the support of his friends and family and his own work ethic, Johnny has been able to find success at university. He has been awarded university scholarships to undertake activities across 21 countries; he has interned with a Local Court magistrate and currently learns advocacy under Mr David Collier AM, a former Family Court judge.

Having been fortunate enough to be able to pursue tertiary education I embraced the opportunity to not only further my studies, but also to learn from those around me and to be conscious of team diversity and what makes each person special. This led me to become the Treasurer for the ‘UWA Women in Business' and to volunteer in disadvantaged schools where I was able to support those less privileged than myself. I learned so much during these experiences and found that working towards something bigger than myself is comparable to nothing else.
