• Starting Salary Package is $90,000 per annum with Performance and Salary Reviews at the end of each 6-month rotation

 The Team – Technology 

Technology partners across the breadth of APA to deliver end to end technology solutions and services, which are secure, compliant and contribute to the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives. We are strategically a cloud-first business, focused on delivering fit for purpose solutions. 

Graduates may rotate through the following teams: 

• IT Services and Operations 
• Enterprise Security (Cyber)  
• Technology, Enablement & Acceleration  
• Service Performance & Governance  
• Operational Technology Engineering Systems

The APA Graduate Program 

The APA Graduate Program has three main streams within the business where we aim to give Graduates the opportunity to experience the full lifecycle of their chosen discipline, including 1 elective (2-year program offering 4 x 6-month rotations to include 1 elective rotation). These streams are: 

• Engineering – Experience the full asset lifecycle, working with industry-leading teams in Infrastructure Development, Networks and Operations aligned to our Engineering Competency Framework 
• Commercial (Market Services) - Become part of the teams accountable for the commercial and physical operations of APA’s transmission asset portfolio including frontline customer relations, commercial product management and APA Grid solution design as well as commercial management for power assets 
• Corporate – Align your corporate career with our Leadership Competency Framework within your chosen division of Finance, People, Safety & Culture, Strategy & Commercial, Sustainability & Corporate Affairs or Technology 

Some of the benefits you can expect from being part of the program are: 

• Support and guidance  - A dedicated Early Careers Team / Talent Consultant, Manager and team Buddy aligned to each rotation (changes every 6 months), Mentor in your 2nd year, who will see you through the whole second year of the program and through to your post program transition into the business 
• Field Trips on site – you can expect at least one per rotation, aligned with the team and type of work you are doing  
• Professional and Personal Development days twice a year include meeting up with all colleagues in the program 
• Share Back, Teach Back - share learnings with current rotation manager, peers, or external school / university workshops 
• Monthly – Graduate Led – catchups with cohorts 
• YAPA (Your Community in APA) - is the official young professional community of APA, run by young professionals for young professionals. We support those new to industry, new to workforce, and new to APA by providing opportunities for technical and professional development as well as networking and social events.

Eligibility 

• IT / Computer Science / Data Science / Software / Cloud Technology Degree qualified by the end of 2023, and within last 2 years 
• Be based in Melbourne or Sydney 
• Willingness to continue your learning journey and be part of a greater national Graduate Team 
• Able to demonstrate the APA behaviours: Accountable, Collaborative, Courageous, Impactful, Nimble 
• Available to start your full time career 4 March 2024
