Your BDO Vacation Experience 

Let your career take flight within one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory and consulting firms!  

Open to students in their penultimate year, who are looking to get hands-on experience, and learn about the range of career pathways available at BDO.  

The program runs over 4 - 8 weeks and includes full-time, paid work experience within one service line during the university break commencing in November 2023 or January 2024 (commencement date and duration may vary across offices).  

About Audit 

As a Vacationer, you’ll join a large team of experienced audit specialists and technical experts. Each audit is an exciting opportunity to learn and understand the ins and outs of how a business operates, looking at both the big picture and detail to deliver quality audits, and add real value to clients. You’ll be exposed to what the team do, join them on visits to client sites, and learn all about BDO’s international audit methodology and how to apply this in your role.

What can I expect? 

• Get to know all about BDO, our people, clients, services, and culture!  
• Work on real projects for our clients, giving you valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting. 
• Work alongside your allocated buddy, and experienced leaders who will provide you with guidance and support as you learn and grow. 
• Undertake various professional development activities (workshops, training modules etc.), helping you to develop your skills and knowledge. 
• Meet other vacationers and professionals in the industry, build your network and make valuable connections. 
• Have fun! At BDO, we believe that work should be fun, and our Vacation Program is no exception! You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team, with plenty of opportunities to socialise and meet people.

Eligibility

You will be in your penultimate year, working towards a degree in either accounting, commerce, or similar.
