Join our Graduate Program as a Graduate Consultant within our Employment & Expatriate Tax team, from January 2025!  

BDO is one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory and consulting firms. We provide a range of services to clients of all sizes and industries across Australia.  

Our Employment & Expatriate Tax team support clients with their employer obligations, including employment tax compliance and consulting (FBT, superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, Pay-As-You-Go Withholding). The team also support clients in ensuring they pay employees correctly through proactively supporting and building out processes and systems to ensure they get it right!

What you’ll do: 

As an Employment & Expatriate Tax Graduate at BDO, you can expect to:  

  • Attend meetings including client and tax briefings for expatriate employees
  • Research projects and draft advice
  • Prepare Australian tax returns for expatriate employees
  • Review and lodge FBT returns during our compliance period (May and June), including ad hoc FBT compliance throughout the year
  • Be involved in pay compliance projects, including review of various industrial instruments (Awards, Enterprise Agreement) and analysis of payroll data
  • Liaise with various regulators (ATO, state revenue authorities)

What you’ll offer: 

  • You will be in your final year, or have recently completed an Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or relevant undergraduate or postgraduate CA/CPA eligible degree
  • Your ability to commence full-time in January 2025.
