Our Ernest Henry Operation is a cornerstone asset located near Cloncurry in Northwest Queensland. About the Program

Our 12-week paid vacation program aims to attract, develop, and retain budding professionals into the mining industry. The program offers meaningful, valuable work experience, key networking opportunities including full exposure to our underground and processing operations, allowing you the opportunity to trial the work/life balance available through either living locally or an 8/6 FIFO roster.

If you are currently studying a tertiary qualification in any of the following disciplines, we’re keen to speak with you:

• Mining Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering
• Community & Indigenous Relations
• Health, Safety & Risk
• Environmental Science

To succeed in this role, we are looking for undergraduate students who are passionate about commencing a career in the mining industry, understand and support our unwavering commitment to safety and can pass a pre-employment medical examination. Our program will run from mid-November 2023 until February 2024.

Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to live residentially in Cloncurry, drive in and drive out from Mount Isa, or fly in and fly out from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns.  Working operations are twelve (12) hour shifts, eight (8) days on, six (6) days off. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be provided during rostered days on, with access to our excellent camp facilities including a well-equipped gym, swimming pool, sporting, and music facilities.
