We have some of the most sophisticated audit clients in Canberra and the surrounding regions – ranging from brand name technology companies, some of Australia’s most interesting commercial Government enterprises, an iconic Canberra sports team, and a number of Australia’s largest defence industry companies providing services to the Department of Defence. 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes 
  • Demonstrating you are a team player, with strong communication skills, and an attitude to learn and grow
  • Participating in audit discussions with the team
  • Preparing audit documentation with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters, with guidance from your teams
  • Engaging with clients to understand processes and transactions and identifying areas for improvement in clients’ business processes 
  • Understanding our clients’ unique ambitions and needs and considering how that might add to audit risk 

Eligibility

To apply for our part time student opportunity, you are required:

  • To have completed your first year of study and be in your second year of university bachelor’s degree OR currently studying master’s degree
  • Currently studying a degree with a major in accounting
  • To hold an Australian Citizenship 
  • To be available to start part time work for 2 to 3 days a week
