In addition of the technical development you’ll gain working within your team, you’ll join GHD’s Graduate Development Program, which will assist guiding you through the first two years of your professional career. The Graduate Program will connect you with graduates across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. It has been designed for future portability, so that no matter where your graduate position in GHD takes you, your learning experience will be impactful and consistent.

During the two-year program, you’ll learn about our business and our values, your team and most importantly, yourself. You’ll develop your decision-making, communication, technical and leadership skills and mentoring.

What will you do in the role?

•   Road engineering is a broad discipline which encompasses many aspects of civil engineering aspects including earthworks and drainage design. Within our team, we project manage the majority of our projects and as a graduate you will get exposure to a diverse range civil engineering elements as well as the associated project management tasks.
•   You will undertake roles on a variety of projects including the design of road and associated infrastructure (e.g. PSPs) and provide civil engineering input on rail, bridge and mining projects. Furthermore, there’ll be opportunities to learn about project and road construction management and to get involved in road safety projects.
•   A lot of our projects require multidisciplinary engineering input and you will work collaboratively with peers in the infrastructure industry as well as many other teams within GHD.
•   You will have opportunities to work collaboratively with our valued clients which includes a number of government agencies as well as mining and other private companies to deliver projects that provide long-lasting community benefit to the community.
•   You’ll be able connect in with a wider team of experts and build a network to share insights, knowledge and improve your overall technical capabilities

We’re looking for individuals who:

•   Have recently graduated or will graduate at the end of the year with a degree in Civil Engineering.
•   Are passionate about the consulting industry.
•   Have strong communication teamwork and communication skills.
•   Embrace our shared commitment to safety in all aspects of our work.
•   Have the ability to work as a dependable member of a multi-disciplinary team and self-prioritize workload
•   Be willing to travel to clients’ sites from time to time.
