About the Role

As a Graduate Information Systems and Technology Professional, you will be exposed to various duties undertaken in the Business Systems, Networks and Infrastructure. Over the course of the program you’ll be shown the ropes by our various teams, then depending on your skillset you’ll be off doing project work – it could be software development, or organisational change management, business analysis or infrastructure support if that’s what your skills are aligned to. No matter which might be, you will assist with experienced IS&T team to create right setup technologically and make a positive difference for optimal business performance across our mine sites.

This is your opportunity to test your skills and creativity in real situations!  With over 50 IS&T professionals in your team, you will be working with some of the best in the fields of telecommunication, systems engineering, application development, systems analysts, and IS&T support. Graduates will be provided with an exciting place to grow and develop during the early stage of their careers, often receiving projects very early in their placements. Locations  

• Mount Isa, North West Queensland (Residential). Mount Isa is a thriving city of 23,000 acting as a hub for regional business, transport, services and government in north-west Queensland. With every sporting club you can think of, golf course, restaurants, gyms and movie theatre, there is always plenty to do. Explore the region with some of the best fishing and camping locations right at your doorstep. Residential roles will also attract relocation assistance, three months’ transit accommodation, as well as housing assistance.
• Townsville, North Queensland (Residential). Located on the coast in tropical North Queensland, Glencore’s Townsville Operations encompass Copper Refineries Pty Ltd and Glencore Port Operations. Our Townsville Operations mark the final link in Glencore’s fully integrated north Queensland supply chain, connecting the natural resources we produce with markets around the world. Copper Refineries Pty Ltd is one the world’s leading electrolytic copper refineries, capable of producing 300,000 tonnes per year of premium-quality ISA brand LME Grade A copper cathode using Glencore’s proprietary IsaKIDD refining process. Glencore Port Operations at the Port of Townsville is the export gateway for our north Queensland products.

• Qualified with a Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Systems or similar (prior to commencement)
