Commencing in February 2024, our 12 month program consists of four, three month blocks tailored to both your interests and business needs. Moving across various sites, you will experience different places, people and functions in real jobs working on real projects.

The Holcim Graduate program is an opportunity to experience and learn the various business divisions of Holcim Australia and New Zealand. The program incorporates the various personal, professional, technical and divisional-specific skills required as an operational employee and potential leader within Holcim. The 12-month program tailored to both your interests and Holcim's business requirements. Moving across various sites, you will experience different places, people and functions in real jobs working on real projects. The program will see you work across multiple locations and may require you to travel to some of our regional sites. 

Concrete

The Holcim Concrete Business unit has an unrivalled history of product development, reliability, and technical expertise across its product range. Our products are specifically designed for a wide range of applications whether it is for standard, high performance, decorative or special applications.. At Holcim, we are committed to help our customers reduce the footprint of their buildings and infrastructure to build better and more with less with the introduction of our ECOPACT - Low carbon Concrete. Our Concrete business unit is focused on production and within your rotations you will gain insight into the operational, technical, business and project aspects of the business. You will gain onsite experience understanding customer excellence in concrete, concrete batching processes, and identifying improvement in quality in concrete and all associated processes.

  • NSW - Artarmon
  • QLD - Milton, Murarrie, Acacia Ridge, Narangba
  • VIC - Hawthorn, Epping, Footscray, Springvale
  • WA - East Perth Plant, East Perth Regional Office, Gnangara, Welshpool
  • SA - Brompton Concrete

To be eligible for our 2024 Graduate Program, you'll need to:

  • Be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 2 years of program start date (e.g. 2022, 2023 or January 2024)
  • Be able to commence full time employment commencing February 2024
  • Have studied the relevant degree/discipline in (but not limited to); Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Science, Supply Chain/Logistics and/or Commerce.

Upon successful completion of the 12 month Concrete Graduate Development Program, below are the potential career opportunities on offer and not limited to (NB: vacancies are based on business needs and subject to availability):

Production Supervisor: This role provides the opportunity to lead and manage a concrete plant team to ensure that cost effective concrete is produced both safely and sustainably.  This role involves working closely with the Area Operations Manager to achieve the efficient and cost effective operation at the site, that meets customer service requirements and also to engage with all plant staff and drivers and provide strong leadership in the areas of health and  safety, the environment, operations management, cost management and operational improvement.

Assistant Project Manager: This role provides the opportunity to plan, execute and finalise Hoclim’s delivery to the customer projects for the Concrete business according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager to liaise with the customer to obtain look-aheads, manage claims and address any potential disputes.

Transport Logistics Supervisor: This role is responsible for the effective supervision of transport resources, assisting via communication and reporting to ensure that they are utilised to optimise the businesses safety, financial and operational results.   Provide advice and feedback on transport operational issues to Regional Logistics Manager.
