Our Undergraduate Program is a paid 12-week summer program, commencing on 27th November 2023, running through until early February 2024. 

As a participant in this Program, you will be supported by leaders at Lendlease and enabled to :

The Undergraduate Program is designed to act as a gateway to the following years Graduate Program, we make early offers based on performance. In some cases, enabling you to remain in the business in a casual capacity while you complete your studies in your final year. 

Roles available for 2023/2024 summer: 

Construction Undergraduate Program - Site Engineer (ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA, NT):

As an Undergraduate Site Engineer in Construction, you will learn and work alongside the wider construction project teams and support with activities across safety, quality, schedule and costs. You may also be involved in researching, gathering, and correlating basic data and undertaking basic testing and/or analysis as directed. This is a site-based role. 

Preferred degrees: Engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical), Construction/Project Management and Architecture 

Construction Undergraduate Program - Cost Planner (NSW and VIC):

As an Undergraduate Cost Planner, you will learn and gain an understanding of market conditions, regarding applicable rates, subcontractors, supply chain and our competitors. Support in providing measurements of quantities, contributing to the production of conceptual and detailed cost plans. This role is predominantly based in our corporate offices with some time on-site. 

Preferred degrees: Quantity Surveying/Cost-Planning, Construction & Project Management, Engineering (Civil/Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics/Robotics) 

Construction Undergraduate Program – UX Engineer (NSW and VIC):

As an Undergraduate Site Engineer UX, you will work with our User Experience specialist team, dedicated to delivering commercial office fit out, asset repositioning, multi-site programs of work and bespoke new build projects. Working with the team you will learn about the different projects and project lifecycle and support the team with coordination activities. This is a site-based role. 

Preferred degrees: Engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical), Construction/Project Management and Architecture 

Construction Undergraduate Program – Commercial (NSW, ACT, QLD, NT, WA, VIC):

As an undergraduate in a Commercial role, you will learn about bids and proposals through precontracts & tenders, learn about head contracts and subcontracts through legal (contract administration), as well as support and learn about forecasting, cashflow management and reporting within project finance (project reporting). This role will spend time on-site and in our corporate offices. 

Preferred degrees: Engineering, Construction & Project Management or Business/Commerce/Law

Construction Undergraduate Program – Sustainability (NSW)

As a Sustainability Undergraduate, your role will revolve around integrating sustainability principles into all stages of construction projects. Under the guidance of project leaders, you will actively support and contribute to the implementation of sustainable initiatives, ensuring their successful incorporation throughout the lifecycle of large-scale construction projects. This role is predominantly based on-site. 

Preferred degrees: Sustainability/Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering 

Construction Undergraduates Program – Design Management (NSW)

As a Design Management Undergraduate, you will assist with the management of client, design consultants and Lendlease team to deliver all the design information necessary to effectively develop and construct a project in a completely coordinated format within the established project targets of cost, quality, time, and compliance. This role is predominantly based in our corporate offices with some time on-site. 

Preferred degrees: Construction/Design/Project Management and Architecture 

To be eligible for this program you must:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Be in your penultimate year of university study 

Timeline of Recruitment Process: 

  • Applications close July 31st, 2023
  • Eligible applications will be prompted to complete the first stage, Online Skills Assessment
  • If successful in the first stage, you will progress to the second stage, Video Interview ​
  • Applicants who reach the final (or 3rd) stage will be invited to interview for a position, taking place from Early - Mid September
