What does the job look like

As a Transport Allocator you will play a crucial role in our retail transport team making sure that our customer gets their deliveries on time every time.  With your exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to multitask you will support our team by allocating, route planning and dispatching deliveries across Melbourne metropolitan areas. Key areas:  

  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions and building positive relationships
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to manifests, delivery schedules and compliance
  • Maintaining regular contact with our customer to keep them updated and well informed about their scheduled deliveries or changes that will impact them
  • Monitoring drivers’ fatigue to ensure that they are compliant and fit to drive

  • Strong geographical knowledge of the Melbourne metro area will be highly regarded, however not essential
  • Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very high-pressure environment
  • Highly proficient computer skills and ability to pick things up quickly
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable but not essential
