Mirvac and The Pinnacle Foundation Join Forces to Empower LGBTQIA+ Scholars

In a bid to foster a greater sense of inclusion and belonging, Mirvac has partnered with The Pinnacle Foundation to sponsor three scholarships for students undertaking studies in Property, Construction and associated fields.

The collaboration aims to support and empower LGBTQIA+ Australians between the ages of 18 and 26 who have faced unique challenges due to their identities.

The Pinnacle Foundation is renowned for its dedication to empowering young individuals who have endured rejection, bullying, discrimination, and abuse. Through this partnership, both organizations are committed to changing these circumstances for the better.

Applications are open until 31 August for those studying at public tertiary educational institutions, including TAFE for a fulltime trade certification.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (proof required during application stage)
  • Be at least 18 years of age and younger than 27 years of age on 20 January in each year for which the scholarship is sought
  • Have achieved good or reasonable scholastic results given your circumstances
  • Be undertaking fulltime studies
  • Identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community

Scholarships are granted on a multi-year basis, subject to the scholar continuing to satisfy the eligibility and selection criteria, and demonstrating an excellent attendance record, acceptable academic performance, positive mentor reviews, and having made a positive contribution to the Pinnacle family.

First year scholars receive $8,000 and $6,000 in subsequent years of study.
