Cadetship Overview 

Mirvac Construction’s Cadet program is designed to assist you in building your career in the Property & Construction Industry through our Mirvac Construction business. The program allows students from their second year of study until Graduation to apply their university knowledge to various building construction projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use, retail), job activities and real-world scenarios.  

At Mirvac you will be supported by management, a ‘buddy’ and mentors, as well as included in a range of networking opportunities with business stakeholders and leaders. ​ 

These opportunities are 12-month fixed term contract roles, commencing in February 2024, with the potential to be made permanent.  

All Cadets in their final year of study, will be eligible to participate in the learning programs and activities available as part of the Mirvac Internship Program. 

Cost Planning Cadet (NSW) 

This role will see you support the cost planning team to deliver the full range of cost planning services across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, retail, mixed-use, and build to rent. You will gain broad exposure to cost planning activities including the production of construction cost plans and construction risk advice for development projects from project conception to commencement on site and beyond, in accordance with the Mirvac National procedures manual.

Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen 

To make the most of your cadetship and obtain maximum exposure to how a construction project is delivered, we require Cadets to commit to working a minimum of 4 days per week and we will provide flexibility around your study requirements aligned to this.  

A student (minimum second year) from the following disciplines (but not limited to):​ 

  • Construction or Project Management 
  • Quantity Surveying 

Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast paced environment  

Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders 

Passionate about delivering customer focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate
