Our Taxation division is a niche area of our firm that work across a variety of areas including M&A tax due diligence work, ATO disputes, restructures and international tax. Graduate Program

  • In your first 2 weeks as a Moore Australia (VIC) graduate you will participate in a structure Graduate Orientation.
  • The Orientation Week consists of a mixture of activities including getting to know your colleagues, your buddy and your team; introductions to all our service lines by various managers from each division; systems training; compliance programs; external speakers and lunch with our CEO.
  • You will take a deep dive into your chosen service line, with a comprehensive training program to gain a strong understanding of your new role, equipped with the skills to move your career forward.
  • You will learn about all the Learning and Development opportunities available to you, including the CA Program, and our ongoing Moore Australia Graduate training programs.

As a Graduate in our Tax Advisory team, you will be involved in:

  • Researching a variety of tax issues.
  • Assisting the team with client engagements and providing taxation consultancy advice.
  • Drafting written recommendations or communication for clients such as emails or written advice.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge.
  • Assisting in the preparation of fee estimates and proposals.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including writing articles.

About you

On top of your passion to succeed within the accounting industry, we are looking for candidates who display the following:

  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Interest in completing Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Taxation Advisor (CTA)

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program candidates must have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Law or equivalent undergraduate degree.
  • Completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past two years (i.e., 2022 or 2023) or be due to complete it by the end of January 2024.
