About the role

The Marketing Associate – Customer Lifecycle (B2C & B2B) reports into the Marketing Manager – Customer Lifecycle. This role is responsible for designing and bringing candidate and hirer customer journeys inside Marketing Cloud to life as well as the management of our always-on and brand campaign support. The role will also work closely with peers in Customer Lifecycle and Content team.

The Team

The Media and Customer Engagement team, alongside SEM, CRM and digital analytics specialists are responsible for the overall media strategy and direction within the SEEK ANZ marketplace. The Media and Customer Engagement team has 20 team members split across three functions: Customer Lifecycle and Content, Programmatic, and Media and Performance Marketing. This role has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager – Customer Lifecycle on the journey roadmap development.
  • Day-to-day management and execution of the BAU eDM program and campaign calendar.
  • Help develop and implement the email marketing strategy for Australia and New Zealand with a key focus on the candidate segment, additionally supporting SEEK Volunteer and other SEEK business units and subsidiaries where required.
  • Manage the strategy, development and implementation of new journeys.
  • Campaign and journey development and reporting, such as running workshops to engage key stakeholders to agree on relevant content, messaging, data and segmentation approach and execution approach within the email platform.
  • Ongoing tracking, analysis and reporting of email activity and conversion goals to maximise performance and deliver on objectives. Share insights and best practice recommendations with other departments and cross-functional teams for ongoing optimisation.
  • Contribute towards the development and implementation of an email contact strategy with a focus on customer experience and preferences. Work within the relevant email compliance frameworks including the SPAM and privacy acts.
  • Participate in the APAC end-to-end customer engagement model to ensure consistent customer communication across Marketing (ANZ & Asia) and APAC Product
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with marketing colleagues and various business stakeholders to facilitate implementation of effective email activity and a shared understanding of the customer journey.
  • Manage the briefing process from start to finish and work in collaboration with key stakeholders and agencies to help accelerate journeys to market.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders from inside Marketing and across the business such as Media & Customer Engagement, Marketing CRM and Martech Centre of Excellence, SEEK product teams

Qualifications

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Enterprise Marketing automation software experience
  • Previous experience in Salesforce and its Marketing Cloud modules in particular
  • Previous experience in creating complex customer journeys from end-to-end
  • Broad understanding of all Marketing channels and customer segments within Marketing, including marketing principals (segmentation, journeys, programmatic and paid media, and site tagging)
  • Ability to research and provide recommendations to other team members within Marketing and the business.
  • Strong judgement and decision-making capabilities, with a willingness to test, learn, pivot when needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Comfortable with managing relationships and has a proven ability to communicate well with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Creativity and ‘hustle’ (challenge the norm to get things done quickly)
  • Outcome-focused, with an eye for detail whilst demonstrating pride in the work you are doing
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and get stuck into execution
  • Understanding and having awareness of the commercial impacts of activities
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
