Job responsibilities

  • You will learn and observe best practices like writing clean and reusable code using practices like TDD, SOLID principles, OO design, and pair programming
  • You will partner with other technologists from cross-functional teams
  • You will work in collaborative, product-focused teams
  • Take ownership and accountability of individual deliverables
  • Learn, digest and subsequently apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems

Technical Skills

  • You have exposure to one or more development languages (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, etc.) with experience in Object-Oriented programming
  • You can write clean, high-quality code in a variety of languages and are also able to spot (and improve) bad code
  • You have knowledge of Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.
  • Bonus points if you have knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes

  • You have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge as well as a desire to create the right solutions for business problems

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Self-identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Currently studying towards a Software related degree/certification OR have completed a Software bootcamp OR are a self taught Developer
  • Be available for the 8 week internship between Dec 2023 - Feb 2024
  • Reside in Australia; Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne locations preferred
