2024 IB Development Challenge (Sydney & Melbourne)

 Your role

The UBS Investment Banking Development Challenge offers an opportunity for students to experience hands-on a real-life transaction and gain insight of what a career as an analyst at one of Australia’s leading investment banks could be like.

 Your team

Throughout the case competition, you’ll be guided by various country, sector and product teams in our Global Banking (GB) business. We provide coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions for corporate and financial institutions.

Your expertise

We’re looking for students in Australia who:
- are in their penultimate year of university, graduating at the end of 2025
- have values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
- are strategic thinkers with strong communication skills

It doesn’t matter what you’re majoring in, but you do need to have an interest in investment banking. We’re most interested to see what makes you unique and discover the fresh ideas you can bring to our team.

Your program

The challenge is designed to encourage students, from both finance and non-finance backgrounds, to engage with investment banking professionals at UBS. The program consists of workshops, panels, and networking to help prepare students for presentations. As part of the program, students will work together to present a case study. If you perform well throughout the challenge, you’ll have the chance to participate in a formal mentor program from May until December. You’ll also be fast-tracked to an early recruitment process for our 2024-25 Summer Internship Program.
