ABOUT VAGO

The Victorian Auditor Generals Office or VAGO is critical part of the States integrity system. Independent to Parliament, VAGO ensures the accountability of the Victorian Government through audits and assurance reviews of public sector agencies.

Our Financial Audit (FA) division provides independent assurance to Parliament that our public sector agencies provide reliable, relevant, and fair financial information in their reporting, in accordance with the Australian Accounting Standards and other relevant legislation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will directly contribute to the delivery of our financial audits while undertaking a comprehensive training program in your first year. This will provide a solid foundation to build a successful career in audit.

WHAT YOU'VE HAD STUDIED

While most of our team members are accountants, we also offer an alternative pathway for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) graduates interest in financial audit.

We welcome both graduates who have followed traditional accounting study pathway at University and STEM graduates eligible to undertake a foundation program with CA or CPA.

IS IT YOU WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

As a graduate, you will learn a lot in your first year of work, building solid foundations for your real career journey. 

LIFE AFTER THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

After your 12 months as a Financial Audit Graduate, the opportunities continues! Subject to your performance, you will have a permanent ongoing Auditor role in the Financial Audit Division and we will continue to support your career development and offer study assistance for further education.
