About the role

Ventia’s contract with the Department of Justice are seeking an analytical Compliance Support Officer to join the Court Security & Custodial Services team based in Canning Vale, Western Australia. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and recently qualified Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Working as part of the Contract and Compliance Team, you will coordinate and manage all contractual documentation on behalf of the Commercial and Contractual Compliance Manager and assist the wider Contract and Compliance Team in the management and production of all contractual reporting. 

In addition, you will maintain registers for incidents and investigations and liaise with stakeholders for follow-up and resolution all whilst providing an exemplary level of customer service to both internal and external customers and high-level expertise in business support.

About you

Reporting directly into the Commercial and Contract Compliance Manager you are a motivated and highly organised professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have strong attention to detail and your well-developed experience working in a fast-paced environment will see you do well in this role.

Key duties but not limited to:

  • Ensure prompt and accurate capture of all contractual information and documentation in accordance with business requirements
  • Prepare agendas and notes of meetings when required
  • Assist in the compilation of accurate and timely management reports
  • Coordinate the review of all Standing Operating Procedures, in line with review dates, with the document owner to ensure all documents are up to date and accurate
  • Assist in the prompt and accurate processing of Intelligence, Investigations and Incidents to the Client
  • Manage the administration of the complaints and investigations process on behalf of the Contracts and Compliance Team
  • Maintains and analyse registers for incidents and ensures any mitigation actions are accurately reported and within the specified timeframes

Skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Office Administration or Business Studies and/or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to prioritise work, multi-task, and re-prioritise tasks as needed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to see the big picture, anticipate problems and how they could affect the team
  • Strong initiative and focused on process improvement
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word formatting, and reporting
