About Better Future pathways  

We are for looking students who are early in their university studies (not in penultimate or final year of study). We are looking to create a student talent community for those of you that are not yet eligible for our Summer Vacation Program.  

Eligibility & Dates  

You are eligible to  be considered for our Better Future Pathway if you are:  

  • Currently studying at an Australian university in any year level besides penultimate or final year.  
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.  
  • An international student currently studying and residing in Australia with unrestricted Australian working rights.  
  • We are looking for students who have passion for learning and can demonstrate academic ability.  
  • The program engagement could be anywhere between 6-12 weeks.

Current Placement Opportunities

 Our Contracting and Procurement (C&P) graduates gain broad business exposure throughout the contracting life cycle, including strategy, planning, execution, award and management of contracts and suppliers. 

Logistics graduates have an opportunity to effect change through innovation and continuous improvement in the dynamic oil and gas industry. You will be challenged to provide logistics solutions for offshore, onshore, subsea, drilling and major projects, for both our Australian and international operations. You will learn from experienced industry leaders, and play an integral role in a global logistics networks that encompasses aviation, marine, materials and facilities management. 

Process engineers are involved in the conceptual and detailed design, installation, commissioning and start-up of new projects – both onshore and offshore. Process engineers at Woodside have the opportunity to support two LNG processing plants based in Karratha, Western Australia, or to support one of several offshore oil or gas facilities. Process engineers are also sought to support many other areas of the business where their general engineering skills can be used to improve the way the business works.
